PPES TERNAK SDN BHD
PPES Ternak Sdn Bhd (“PTSB”) is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) with Sara-Bif as its exclusive brand to promote live cattle, fresh beef and has been awarded with Halal certification from Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (“JAKIM”).
OUR SUPPLY
IMPORT FROM AUSTRALIA
PTSB receives supply of live cattle from Rosewood Station Pty Ltd and Carmor Plain cattle station, Darwin Northern Territory Australia and also wholly-owned subsidiary of SEDC which is free from Foot and Mouth Disease (“FMD”). PTSB is accredited with the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (“ESCAS”) by the Meat Livestock Australia (“MLA”) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (“HACCP MS 1480:2019”) for Siburan Halal Abattoir by Intertek Certification International Sdn.Bhd.
HISTORY
40 YEARS SINCE 1983
PTSB has been in operation for 40 years since 1983 and since then, become the main supplier of live cattle in Sarawak. PTSB owns a farm at Karabungan Miri which is made up of 580 acres with a holding capacity of 1,000 heads of cattle.
The farm serves as the holding station for the imported cattle, and its main activities include cattle feedlotting (fattening), and cattle breeding.
The farm has also undertaken the supply of cattle throughout Sarawak especially to the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (“DVS”) for Cattle Integration with Oil Palm Estate and Sales of Livestock to smallholders.

SARAWAK FARM
Karabungan Farm
Karabungan Farm is wholly managed by PPES Ternak Sdn Bhd and it is located 75km away from the town of Miri.
The farm's land size is 234.7 hectares (580 acres) with principal activities like cattle breeding, feedlotting, slaughtering. and marketing.
It has a maximum carrying capacity of 1,000 heads of cattle.
The slaughterhouse and its facilities have been accredited with the halal certification from Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) and Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS), Australia.

HALAL ABATTOIR
Siburan Halal Abattoir
Siburan Halal Abbatoir is located at 16th Mile Siburan in Kuching Division in Sarawak with a land size of 8.1 hectares (20 acres) with estimated developed area of 6.37 acres.
The main activity is for ruminant slaughtering with daily capacity of 100 cattle, 50 goats and 50 deer. Among the facilities available at the are slaughterhouses, complex processing, and packaging for export as well as domestic market.
Apart from being designed to comply with stringent Malaysia export standards, Siburan Halal Abattoir's slaughter facilities comply with Assurance System Exporter Supply Chain (ESCAS) by Meat Livestock Australia and Halal certified requirements.
The processing facilities are designed to ensure products preparation are of the highest quality as well as in compliance with food and safety standards.
